Description
The Pomeranian goose, also known as the Rügener goose, is a breed of domestic goose. Although only an officially recognized breed since 1912, this fowl was developed by Northern German farmers of Pomerania as early as 1500.

The Pomeranian goose comes in four colors: solid white, solid gray, saddleback buff, and saddleback gray. The saddlebacks only exist in North America, and are noted for their head, back, and flanks being colored buff or gray. The rest of a saddleback will be solid white.
